Said to be held once every 88 years in the world of yokai, this extraordinary sports festival celebrates not speed or height but eeriness.
This mysterious festival reveals whatever you wish to see. Everything depends on your imagination. What kind of place is it? What kind of yokai gather there? And what strange events do they compete in?
This exhibition was conceived from a playful idea: what if the works submitted to our museum’s “Yōkai Sculpture Grand Prize” were to hold their own grand athletic meet?
The exhibition features 36 unique works brought together in this fantastical setting.
