This is the exhibition catalog for the special exhibition “The Great Yokai Sports Festival.”
The Great Yokai Sports Festival, said to be held once every 88 years in the world of yokai. Faster? Higher? No, more eerily.
It seems this sports festival lets you see anything you want to see. Everything depends on your imagination. Imagine what kind of place it is, what kind of yokai will be there, and what kind of events they'll compete in.
This exhibition was conceived by imagining what would happen if the works submitted to our museum's “Yōkai Sculpture Grand Prize” were to hold a grand athletic meet. It features 36 works displayed in the exhibition.
